Hi everyone , I'm 2Box . i just recently migrated back from the dark panes of windows. i tried mint8 when it came out but to tell you the truth, i wasn't ready to take , what seemed at the time to be, the giant leap into the unknown ( Helena) . so i played around with mint8 for a few weeks and went cowering back to the safety of windows vista.
Then about 3 weeks ago i decided to give it one more shot with Mint9. and have loved it ever since. in fact i haven been back on windows for a couple of weeks now and i have jumped head into mint9.

and i wont go back......

welcome. My first experience with Linux (on my laptop) sent me running as well, That was Mandrake 10.0 (before they became Mandriva), Ubuntu at least worked, and mint made me fall in love with my computer again.

there are excellent people active in the forums and on the IRC channels. I hope you enjoy Mint as much as I do.
