Greetings all!
I'm Wim from the Netherlands and i'm kinda new in the world of Linux.
I have some old experience with Ubuntu and Suse through school but never bothered to do anything with it (didn't like the teacher).
Six months ago I got my diploma in IT and started to work as a System administrator at a big company. We only work with Windows and Citrix so i never had to use Linux. Until I got some really old IPC's, nothing would run on the except Damn Small Linux.
Since then i was more interested in the world of Linux but didn't have any system to install it on. Couple of weeks ago i got an old notebook (Compaq NC4000) with Win XP. It was my little toy but it didn't run that good. The notebook had many owners before me and it was completely messed up so I wanted a clean install. It was he perfect moment to start with a Linux distro.
Mint got my attention so I installed Mint 9 XFCE. It runs great. Thats why I want to say THANK YOU to the Mint community.
