WOW am I new LOL

Postby Highplanesdrifter on Sat Nov 20, 2010 1:15 pm

Well, I'm on a quest to replace windows. I used dos many moons ago and I'm not afraid of command line. But yes I'm a total newbie here LOLL
I choose mint to do a 1 year exploration of Linux, and to see if it will be a good life long replacement for windows, I hate Mac OS and windows just
leaves me flat. I plan on spending some time in the command line first, a friend told me it would be a good place to start. Ran into a an issue with my mouse
I'm working on here at the moment. I will probably be posting allot of stupid newbie questions. I plan on documenting my progress here in the forums as I go
I'm looking forward to this allot and thanks for being here :-)

Welcome, I hope you have a positive and exciting experience with Linux. You'll be able to get things up and running and have a solid and secure system fairly easily but you'll likely find there's much to learn. So be patient with yourself, don't be afraid to ask questions and read. The whole m$ thing will be behind you like waking up from some vague nightmare soon. That's how it was for me anyway. Again, welcome!
