Two weeks or so into being a Linux newbie and I am already being made fun by friends and family! Truly an honor many of you already know.
No one, except for all you wonderful Linux people, can really understand the bittersweet feeling of killing a beautiful Toshiba build of Win7 on a beautiful new laptop, so i had to share my story with you. But the ending is great, because I feel like i did when I was a kid discovering Windows for the first time! Many thanks to Mint Julia for making it unbelievably fun & easy for a newcomer to dive in...
I keep thinking about the Windows 7 slogan "Life Without Walls" - does this not strike anyone else as a scary kind of life? Personally, I am glad my apartment comes with walls.
All the best to anyone who happens to read this
