Hello from Ohio

Postby MintyJay on Sun Jan 09, 2011 4:52 pm

Hi there I am a relatviely new Linux user, and just installed Mint 10 yesterday on a used laptop I just bought. I had previously installed Ubuntu 10.10 dual booting with win xp on a desk top computer I have. I was really impressed with Ubuntu and wanted to try some different distributions so I decided I wanted to get a "new" laptop to try them out on. The laptop is an older Compaq Evo N610c. I was worried about Mint recognizing the wireless card, but it did. I have only been using it for a day or so, but so far so good. I even have been using the terminal to install some software packages. I'm excited about learning more about Linux and Mint!!
