I am a coin collector, so the pun seemed appropriate ?

Anyway I am pretty new to the whole Linux thing, just a couple of hours in it so far.
I have been here before already getting some help, for one my menu would not go away after clicking on an item. Do not laugh I thought I had a bug, but found the answer in seconds.

I first tried Ubuntu a year or so ago, and at the time it did not seem quite right for me. This time around I'm test driving Mint 9 dual boot on a cheap netbook. I was totally impressed right off the bat, I had no trouble with the partitioning, (although I now wished I had created an extra partition for /DATA.), or the dual boot process, no trouble with downloading, installation of Google Earth. Everything I plugged in, external hard drive etc. just worked ? WOW. For the record win7 will not run my printer, no drivers exist. Only trouble I did have was trying to establish a wireless connection, but I see that is a common problem, the answer to which I am still looking. Only other thing I have not done is set up my "real" email.

Why am I leaving Bill behind, well he's already got 80 billion, and when an OS costs as much as the machine it runs on, I think that is a bit much. Worse than that though is the huge amount of my memory that the never ending updates take. I'm sick of both.

There is only one old favorite program that I need windows for, and I think when I learn GIMP a little more I won't need that.

No doubt as a newbie I should not make suggestions, But I do think a help file would be a good addition, that way, people (me) would not have to rely on the good hearted souls who put in the effort to answer others questions.

Sorry to run on, I am impressed with Mint.

I hear that! I have a Windows 7 partition. With less programs than what I have installed in mint, the Windows OS takes up 45GB of that partition. Linux Mint Debian Edition is using 10GB with a ton of apps installed.
