Thank you for a great distro!

I have been a Linux user since the days of Red Hat 5 (1998-ish?) and have been using Linux as my primary OS for at least 8 years. In that time, I have jumped around a bit between Suse, Red hat, Fedora, Mepis, and PC Linux OS. I tried Mint (again) a few weeks ago (Mint 10 Julia), and have been so impressed, that I switched from Mepis to Mint as my primary OS. there were a few bumps in transitioning from KDE, but in general, it has been a really good experience. Hat's off for a job well done. In fact, this my be the highest praise: after installing Mint, my kids thanked me for the "new computers". Now I didn't change the hardware, so you can interpret that how you will. ;)

Welcome to the Mint community Louie. It sounds like you have a lot to offer.

Just making a guess based on your forum name, but shouldn't the kids be about out of the house by now?
But then maybe some twins snuck up on you late. :D

This thing make M$ look like a real joke.
The only thing keeping ( them) alive is the OS specific Crap like Macromedia,CAD, and Adobe.
