Hello!

Postby Septimus on Thu Mar 17, 2011 3:04 pm

Hello everybody,

Just popped in to say that Mint is the best Linux distro I've ever used. I've recently made the jump from Ubuntu after my friend raved about how good Mint is. After using Mint on my super-slow Inspiron 600m laptop, I would agree with him. Excellent stability, everything works out of the box and the polished look is quite impressive. I'm no stranger to failed Linux installations, right from OpenBSD to Gentoo. There is always something that does not work or something that just does not feel right. Not so with Mint! Now, I'm in the process of installing it on my my work machine (i5 430M, hd5850m, 8Gb RAM, 3 x SSDs).

Great job Mint Team with the careful testing. Stability and usability triumphs bleeding edge!
