Hello there

Hi, brief introduction.
My name is Michael Keane and I am a hobbyist programmer. I have several years experience
with Linux and software development in general.
Some of you know my cousin Ikey Doherty, he has expressed concern that several of his projects
may be left to "rot and die". While he presently wishes to remain excluded from Linux and computers
in general, he has asked if I will help to continue some of his projects so that users are not left
wanting due to matters beyond their control.
Ikey is setting up a github account for me and giving me the source code to all his projects, which at
initial count amounts to 187.
I'm hoping that I may receive help from this community on matters regarding these projects, I do not
pretend to be as skilled as Ikey was, but I shall try nonetheless

- Mike

Hello Mike, and welcome to the Mint Forums. Yes, we know your cousin Ikey well. I for one was a little worried, so thank you for letting us know that he is OK. I suspected that maybe he was "getting a life"

Thank you for the warm welcome tdockery97 :)
He's doing a bit better now, back to building and looking to settle down.

Welcome Mikey,

I didn't know what the problem was but I had noticed that ikey had not posted since Feb 28. That and the change he made to his signature block. I hope all goes well.

Hello Mikey!

I was thinking that has something to do with money. Anyway, very nice to see that you are going to take matters in your hands. I was asking to ikey last time, if he can give us an update about the schedule on LMDE with all the updates or maybe a stable release and a rolling one...
The stable less work in updates, and rolling, well so we don't have to download all the new stuff again. Have a nice :)

Not a financial issue.
I'm afraid LMDE has nothing to do with me, that's a Linux Mint project.
