Ubuntu convert

Postby smiffsoft on Thu Jun 23, 2011 12:04 pm

Hi there,

Been using Ubuntu since version 7, but the recent Unity thing did it for me. Heard tons of great feedback about Mint so I just wiped Ubuntu and installed Mint. Pretty much already got everything I need configured and working, very little trouble at all. I still don't like Banshee though, and doubt I'll ever get used to it. I'll give it a few days though, see how I get on.

Right, now for my IDE and other Dev tools, and I'll be laughing. Love all the layout and menus, feels much more "normal".

Cheers

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I'm recovering from an operation, so not had as much time to play with Mint as I'd like, but I've already got all my databases/websites set up to get on with my development tasks next week. Everything works flawlessly so far. Love it, you guys have done a fantastic job.

Cheers
