Hello all,

I'm a Linux newbie. Mint Debian was my first Linux install and the first OS I've used apart from Winblows. I'm hoping for a great ride with Mint. The computer I installed on is really old (Like barely a step up from vacuum tubes - lol) and it's running a lot faster than XP was.

Welcome to the Mint forums David M. You will find a lot of information and help from some very enthusiastic and knowledgeable Mint users. I'm sure you will also want to visit our Mint Community Website at http://community.linuxmint.com/. You will find real-time help in our IRC channels. Just go to Menu>Internet>XChat IRC and when you open it you will automatically be taken to our #linuxmint-chat and #linuxmint-help channels. While in IRC you can change to the Mint Debian channel with the command /join #linuxmint-debian. Have fun with Mint.
