HI all,
I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and say that I've just installed Mint 12 as my 2nd OS on my pc (other is Win7)
The last time that I 'played' with Linux was back using Red Hat 6.1. My friends and family couldn't understand how I'd spend hours configuring X-server just to recognise my graphics card / driver and get a picture on the screen.... but my goodness was it fun . Since then I'm sorry to say I hadn't touched linux... until I decided to bite the bullet yesterday and install Mint 12. All I can say is... WOW! Linux has moved on..light years in fact. The graphical installation (I was expecting the old GRUB-DOS style 'death threats' of doom) alone was amazing, but to have a modern fully functioning desktop such as Mint is a sight to behold.
Good job Mint team!
I look forward to meeting you all 'out there'

Welcome to the Linux Mint Forums cllrofwar!
Linux Mint doesn't have a text installer but some distros still use that.
Cheers.
