Hello to fellow Mint folks!

I'm retired (64) and been a Linux user for a long time (since 2004) but new to Mint. My favorite was Ubuntu and then came Unity. I wasn't me. I went searching and went the gambit of distros and finally settled here. Like cinnamon and it just fits for me.

I am raising my 3 year old grandson (not something I planned to do in retirement but the Lord will provide strength.) Also I am head elder of my church and we have no pastor at the present so that keeps me very busy also.
My wife is still working part time so a lot falls to me. She is not into Linux so she sticks with Windows. I gave up windows years ago.

Even though I use Linux doesn't mean I know a lot about it. I still get things hosed up pretty good. I will post problems when I can't find an answer in the forum or elsewhere.

My best to all you folks,

Don

Hi Don, welcome to the Linux Mint forums. Thanks for joining! Sounds like you have your hands full with family and church, so I hope we can help save you some time with any Linux related issues.

Be sure also to check out the Community website (ideas, tutorials, and hardware and software reviews). You can also chat in real-time with other Linux Mint users. In the Mint Menu, in the Internet section, start the application XChat IRC. You will automatically get connected to #linuxmint-chat for general chat and #linuxmint-help for support with other Linux Mint users.
