UP6 Repo

Post by olderunner »

Not having much luck on UP7 so I reinstalled UP6 however my sources.list point to the UP7 repos. What should my list look like if I want to upgrade only within UP6?
The blog say's http://mirrors.fe.up.pt/linuxmint-debian/ but that doesn't seem to work.
Thanks

The update packs & the associated repositories are by design to be used as a semi-rolling release situation. If you want to stay on the UP6 level indefinitely, then you really need to repoint your installation to Debian 7 Wheezy (stable) so that you still get the normal security updates.

That mirror is not at UP6, it's in the middle of syncing with other UP7 mirrors (or the blog post just doesn't get updated - 8 days passed already ).
Its current state may be at UP6 or anywhere between UP6 and UP7, and no one knows for sure. Don't use it.

Finally got my UP7 upgrade settled down so I'll stick with UP7. I reinstalled LMDE UP6 and upgraded 3 times before I got the right procedure figured out. Clonezilla here I come. :P
