My update manager shield is currently showing a big red cross!
Apparently this means that the list of packages cannot be refreshed which leads me to question if
1. there is something wrong with my system or
2. it simply means that the packages are not currently available to anybody?
Please advise. Obviously if it is point 1. I need to correct my system or if it is point 2. I just need to be patient, I guess!
Thanks all,
Andrew
Solved .. the solution is given in a post below, but I'm quite happy to wait until Sunday 9th March!

I don't see the point in pinning this topic. There is already one from Xenopeek...

Hello, killer de bug.
I know that xenopeek created a sticky post. Yet, when this thread was opened, I thought it would not hurt having a sticky, too, in the sub-forum "Update Packs Repositories". This sticky will lose its "sticky bit" automatically on Sunday.
Cheers,
Karl
