RTS-informatique mirror discontinuated

Post by killer de bug »

Hello,

I just discovered that the mirror hosted by RTS-informatique has been turned off today. This situation will not change.

2014-07-20 ~ Mirror shutdown for Linux Mint
After a complaint from our host about excessive network traffic, we're sad to announce that the APT mirroring for Linux Mint (both packages and Debian) will be stopped July 30th. Please switch APT mirror by using ['mintsources']. We're very sorry for the trouble :( NOTE: Catalyst packages for ArchLinux will remain available.
It was one of the best mirror for LMDE... Sad news :?

Hello, killer de bug.

Thank you very much for sharing this announcement with us.
This explains why I had to select a different mirror only today.

Kind regards,
Karl

Yes, I was also concerned when I saw so many errors during my apt update step. I went to the website from RTS-Info and discovered the announcement... :(

Today's update of mint-mirrors package should have this mirror removed.

This mirror and the German mirror were removed from this new mint-mirrors package.

Edit: oupps sorry, I did not see you already commented about the other mirror (http://forum.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.ph ... 90#p902690)
