But I'm a little confused with sources I must have, maybe because reading all the time in not my native language (spanish).
If I put in terminal: gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list, then I get this:
deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import
deb-src http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import #Added by software-properties
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest testing main contrib non-free
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/security testing/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/multimedia testing main non-free
deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free main
In software manager, in software sources, what are marked in "linux mint software" label is:
Main packages
Upstream packages
Imported packages
Source code
In Other software label are marked:
http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest testing main contrib non-free
http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/security testing/updates main contrib non-free
http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/multimedia testing main non-free
http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free main
http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main
As I read in forums, I think the three ones "debian.linuxmint.com/latest..." are ok... but...
- 1.- is deb-src http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import #Added by software-properties right?
- 2.- is deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import right?
- 3.- are two google sources needed or only one?
- 4.- why don't match sources.list and "other software" label in software sources?
- 5.- should I change anything?
Thank you very much.
P.D.: LMDE is amazing, incredible... I come from ubuntu 11 and its unity, then fedora 15 and its gnome shell, and finally I sleep well with LMDE Xfce. My nvidia card works for first time with nouveau, which I never saw. Thanks a lot to LMDE Team.
