After I applied UP5 (which took forever, but that should be expected on the first day), I had one odd behavior: when I tried to shutdown, some application (possibly Gigolo, but I haven't had the chance to figure out what) pops up a password authorization dialog box.
I didn't put in the password, and eventually it timed out and went to the login screen, and I was able to shut down from there, but I wanted to start a thread on it so I had a place to put my further info when I have the chance to check further.

Re: Asking for a password during shutdown post UP5
Whatever happened has not recurred, so this was probably nothing serious.
