After installing updates from incoming, broken keyboard

After a discussion in another thread, I installed updates from the incoming repositories, and now both my USB and laptop keyboards are working incorrectly. Sometimes, they don't register keypresses at all, and other times, they register a whole string of keypresses when I briefly depress a key. Is this a known bug in one of these packages? I don't know my way around LMDE enough to know what relevant information to provide, but please let me know and I'll post as soon as possible. The update installed over 3 GB of packages, so I don't quite know where to start.
