I found the fix to our problem. certian components of gnome didnt install properly so you use synaptic to install gnome or you can run sudo apt-get install gnome and that will give you the whole metapackage. however the draw back is that it installs alot of thing you may not usemorgan71 wrote:I have a similar problem; the applets are there, but they are invisible. ) to my surprise it installed without a problem and was able to play around with and it seems about as responsive and error free as xfce this one may actually be a worthy gnome2 successor...(not for me thou i chose to remain on the mintified' xfce boat for as long as it's crew passes the sanity check(no lousy attempts to pull a unity/gdm3 like wheel reinvention trick)Code: Select all
