Fresh install, dirty system?

How much does bleachbit clean from your system after a fresh install?
I noticed how it always wiped more junk the first time I ran it so today decided that it would be the first app to install and run after formatting and installing LMDE 201204 on a desktop. Selected all options except memory and it wiped 666.6MB of junk  .

The one and only time I used bleachbit it removed things that if I had been paying attention shouldn't have been removed, including all of my Firefox bookmarks and saved passwords.

Personally would not suggest the use of any apps like bleachbit, fslint, etc.

I haven't had any problems running bleachbit. As craigevil alluded to, pay attention to what it's deleteing. Run the preview first to examine what it will do.

Also install the package called "upgrade-system" from the repos. On a brand new install I've had it remove ~150 packages that are unused dependancies.

Between upgrade-system and bleachbit I'm able to keep a very clean system.

Maybe it was dangerous at some point, seems fine to me now. I just find it strange that after formatting partitions and installing from scratch the system had that much junk in it.. its a considerable amount of space too, the number of the beast  .

edit: thanks for the tip squeezy.
