- Linux Mint "Debian" - 201204 MATE/Cinnamon 64-bit root passwd is not set by:
mint@mint ~ $ sudo passwd root
We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:
#1) Respect the privacy of others.
#2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.
[sudo] password for mint:
Sorry, try again.
- Menu - System - Users and Groups and set a password for user mint. Did work but:
mint@mint ~ $ sudo passwd root
[sudo] password for mint:
mint is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
- Run from Yummi pendrive.
- sudo passwd root worked on Ubuntu Studio on same pendrive
Where do I log bugs?
Love Cinnamon.
Thank you!
mint@mint ~ $ sudo passwd root
