I am trying to install LMDE on my laptop that already has Mint 13 installed on it. I just want to replace Mint 13 with LMDE.
Problem is when I boot off of the live cd i made, the screen is off center. That is to say the screen starts about 1/4 of the width from the left, and if I go off of the right side of the screen the cursor actually moves over to the left of the screen. It is kind of hard to explain any better than that. Hopefully it gets the point across.
Also, when booting from the live cd it doesn't find any network adapter. Neither the wired or wireless card.
It is a Lenovo Ideapad Y480. It has the discrete grahics that swaps between the intel hd graphics and the nvidia gt 640m. I think that may have something to do with the graphics issue, but I'm not sure.
Everything works just fine with regular Mint 13, so I am a little lost. It may well work if I go through the install to the hard drive, but I doubt it and I don't really want to go through the hassle of reloading to find out it doesn't work and reloading again.
