Installation stops after copying a few files?

I'm trying to install the latest version of LMDE on a Dell GX520. 33 bit. I've searched the forum but I didn't see any answers, please redirect me if there is anther active topic for this.
Live LMDE boots up and runs fine but when the installation starts copying files after about a min or so it just stops. The system is still alive, menu's work, etc but it just stops copying the files. I've tried a new DVD, I re-downloaded the ISO from another mirror and burned another DVD, not sure what else to try? Any suggestions? Thanks.

A few ideas:

1.- Wrong md5sum checked
2.- Bad CD/DVD disc
3.- Bad sectors in target HD
