Linux Mint Debian Installer - SOLVED

Postby simontaplin on Mon Sep 10, 2012 7:47 am

I am having issues installing Linux Mint Debian 64bit. I created a bootable USB drive using pendrivelinux

When I click on the Install Linux Mint icon, it warns that it did not use a password then dies.

I tried uninstalling the slideshow with apt-get but it needs the mint user password. I have used passwd to create a password for the mint user. Now sudo complaints that the mint user is not part of the suoders file. I can't use sudo for any command as the mint user is not part of the sudoers group.

Now what?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

make the USB with http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ and you'll be fine :)

Thanks Zero, that worked. It seems Pendrivelinux causes the issue.
