Hi all,

I have troubles with log in to my LMDE 13 (with KDE 4.8 ) after I used 'aptitude install' to add package to system. After next reboot KDM was completely reset to default. When entering my user name and password, system just freeze (but the cursor still moves). Help me please, that's urgent!

PS. Sorry for bad english...

Switch to the console (Ctrl+Alt+F1). Type in "sudo apt-get install --reinstall kdm"
If that doesn't fix it, type in "find | grep kdm" and remove the folder containing its config settings "rm -rf <name of folder containing kdm config>" and reboot.
