Hi!
Last option: I suggest a fresh installing:
1. save all personal data, 2. delete partitions and create new ones with GParted live,
e.g. boot ext2 100 - 200 MiB and root ext4 remain or
boot + root ( 10 - 20 GiB9 and rest home,
and no swap.

Hi!
Very last idea:
Download PartedMagic (more than an operating system; many useful tools), burn an image and boot from that. Partition your SD card with PM/ GParted and install your Linux onto the SD card using UNetbootin - with persistence (possible on Ubuntu and Mint - tested with success).
There are many different versions of UNetbootin, but the best one is PM/ UNetbootin.
And it seems that Grub2 or the installation program are implying bugs - with UNetbootin you have a better chance.
