<SOLVED> No Volume Groups Found - os-prober

Post by gtsfer »

This is more a point of curiosity. I have had LMDE installed for some time now, all is up to date. It's a single boot setup, no other OS is installed. There are no problems with my system, LMDE is the bomb and it's stable as a rock.

Code: Select all

sudo os-prober
Returns "No volume groups found". I'm just wondering why it returns no info and if this command only works on a multi-boot system.

Well, the description at the package info page says:
This package detects other OSes available on a system and outputs the results in a generic machine-readable format.
Since you have a single boot setup, I think it's no wonder this utility doesn't show anything.

Duh, I need remedial reading lessons. Thanks Monsta!
