any news on the new MINT based on Debian/Stable ?

I went looking in the download site,--
I need to install a new OS and would like to get the new Debian/Stable version when it is ready for us to try it out,--

It'll be released first half of 2015. Development is ongoing. Few words are in the Monthly News for November blog post.

Some users are experimenting and already upgrading LMDE 1 to LMDE 2 development: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 8&t=183280
