Usb install

I am trying to install LMDE on my usb, I boot in with UNETBOOTIN and run the livecd ans I click to install, when I get to the choose hardrive poart I use my 16gig usb stick, ,then it keeps kicking me out :(

Since I use PartedMagic (which contains GParted, UNetbootin and many other useful tools)
I had no problems - excepting openSUSE (-> command "dd").
Download: see link below.
It's an operating system [linux] and you must burn an image to CD and boot from this medium,
and you have access to all devices and partitions.
