Question (custom distro) and desiderata (LVM)

I have a question:

- The tool to create a custom distro from Linux Mint, does it work with LMDE?

and a desiderata:

- I would like the installer to recognise logical volumes (ideally encrypted LV). It is not necessary that LV can be created from the installer, just that they are recognised so that they can be assigned mount points (and reformatting not forced).
