When the installer scans my hard drive it crashes. If I start gparted (the partitioner) from either of the Mint 10 copies that run on the system, it crashes.
I'm now wondering why Mint 10 works but nothing else does.

Apparently Verbatim USB sticks don't work, My new Sandisk one did. It was just by accident that I was always using the Verbatim one.
