Problem with the installer
I'm using LMDE (XFCE 32-bit version). When the installation is finishing, in the "removing live packages" part, the menu, the sound applet and the desktop icons disappear and, finally, the system freezes, and the installation doesn't finish. When I boot, I see an error message and "grub rescue >" I've tried with different DVDs and with different ISOs (I checked the MD5), but I have the same problem everytime I try to install it. What can I do?

Re: Problem with the installer
With the symptoms that you describe this usually means that either the ISO or media is bad or of low quality.
Also the burn speed may be set too high.
Try using the very slowest burn speed available.
Try burning the media on a different burner hardware or PC.
Try a higher quality media, such as Verbatim or such, using cd-r / dvd-r, not any -rw.
Hope this helps....

If the md5sum checks out correctly, the ISO is most likely ok.I've tried with different DVDs and with different ISOs (I checked the MD5), but I have the same problem everytime
