new kernel not visible in Grub

Postby livram79 on Sat Apr 23, 2011 7:36 am

I have installed kernel 2.6.38 via Synaptic Manager and after reboot I could see the old kernel menuentry.
How can I solve this problem? Why wasn't this problem solved by Synaptic Manager?

It should update automatically, but try opening a terminal and type:

Code: Select all
sudo update-grub

That should fix it.

Thanks. I have fixed by booting UBUNTU and running update-grub.
