Select whene you want to install Linux Mint...

Postby daveerickson on Tue Aug 23, 2011 9:53 pm

I was attempting to install the RC of Gnome LMDE 64-bit. All was looking great until I got to setting mount points. It appears you can only tell it to install to mountpoints on a single drive... I really hope this is not as intended.

I have 3 drives and would like to put partitions on different drives, something easily done in other distributions, even the previous LMDE installer allowed this. Hopefully I am missing something here, or at a minimum the option to install to more than one physical drive will be added before a final release. Any help appreciated.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

OK, so no one seems to know if this is a bug or a new feature, that's cool. How about if I ran the installer on one drive, then manually copied the contents of /home to a different partition and manually updated the fstab, would that work?
