LMDE installer not working

Hi, the LMDE installer is not working, when I start it from the desktop or the mint menu I get a window telling me that it started with root privilege without being asked for, then nothing happens, the installer doesn't start.

which software you used to create this usb-thumbdribe? if i may a wild guess it wasn't unetbootin, try it, you won't get that error
