Hi there,
Unfortunately, LMDE installer doesn't support installing to LVM (this really deserves a fix), but I could succeed installing it by more or less closely following this HowTo: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=71159
However, once done, I find myself in an US/english system, where I'd like french.
I could reassign the keyboard, timezone, etc, but I could find no *-lang-fr and very few *l10n-fr etc packages (except for Thuderbird / Firefox / Chromium), so my question is : Please, how do I localize my whole system and interface into french after install ?
TIA, kind regards.

[Solved] post-install localization
It seems that the following completes a correct system localization:
Code: Select all
dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
dpkg-reconfigure console-setup
dpkg-reconfigure locales
dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
update-initramfs -u
