fersh install of LMDE not sycing with my iPod clasic

hello everyone I installed LMDE last night, when I connect my iPod today I notices that it was mounting the iPod but when I open it up with banshee it stays on loading iPod forever and the bar on the bottom is compliey orange(other) like if it was not seeing any data but there is data on it also on gpodder it will not copy to it any ideas of what is going on and if you what me to post log output just let me know

NOTE: I have test it the iPod on mom's F16 install and a friend win7 and the iPod works fine
