gtkterm window problem

I've installed gtkterm version 99.5-1 from the standard LMDE repo's. When I execute gtkterm the window can't be grabbed, moved, or resized.

I'm also running Debian 6 "Squeeze" on my Asus Laptop, where the gtkterm window works correctly.

What is the problem with the LMDE Version?
