Database development IDE?

Postby xircon on Mon May 07, 2012 5:41 am

I used to work as an Accountant/IT Manager and one of my primary tools for my job was Visual FoxPro (I started of programming in Dbase II in the 1980s).

I am looking for a program to develop a moderately complex Database application, that is is easy to learn, has good tutorials and has a form designer/IDE.

I have tried:

Harbour - can't find 64bit version or an IDE, might be blind :)

Glom - too basic.

Kexi - just can't find a half decent tutorial.

LibreOffice Base - Yuck!

So does anyone knows of such a program, or some good tutorials for any of the above? But if I have to learn another language, please do not let it be Python :)

Consider Lazarus and will let connect to the database of your choice and it's in pascal.
