And also: would they work on LMDE?

I Believe...

Upstart seems faster, But because it's a ubuntu project and won't work on all kernel(architectures) I don't think you can find it on debian. :?:

Systemmd I think is already built into the default debian system :?:

The "BFS' scheduler patch works on debian but I think needs to be compiled in kernel :?:

LMDE's default is Sysvinit. Would Upstart work with the AMD64 kernel?

Upstart works on AMD64 (thats Kernel/archeticure Ubuntu supports.
But
I never found a debiain package or tried compiling :(

Please let me know if found and installs. Exspecially let know if seem faster boot! :mrgreen:

Just tried Upstart. My computer seems a bit faster and a little more responsive than before.

P.S. Maybe Shuttleworth got it put their (he's a major(?) contributer to debian) :o

Maybe it could be used as default in LMDE, it is good enough.
Should be suggested as idea in the Community.
