File Roller options

Postby racefan20 on Fri May 25, 2012 4:46 pm

Just wondering if there is a way to force file-roller to unzip files into the same folder as the zip file instead of creating a sub-folder for the files like it does now when I choose extract here. Or is there another archive program that will do that?

Thanks :)

Through gconf-editor in /apps/file-roller/general I can only see an option called "migrate_directories" though I'm not sure what that means.
For Engrampa (in MATE) there are also options in /apps/engrampa/dialogs/extract named /recreate_folders and /recursive but the descriptions are uncompleted.

Anyway: By default it will only put the files in a folder if there already is a folder in the archive ...
