I've installed Xiphos in LMDE (201204). When I try to add Bibles from the Bookshelf, the software exits abruptly.
I have a Laptop running it on Debain 6 "Squeeze" and it works fine.
Has anyone else had this type problem?

Neither Xiphos or Bibletime work on sid. They will either crash right after starting or not load at all.
What works for me is:
Bible Desktop - Free Bible Study Software - http://www.crosswire.org/bibledesktop/
since it run on java it works, I am reasonably sure the problems with both Xiphos and BibleTime are python related.
Just down http://www.crosswire.org/ftpmirror/pub/ ... bin.tar.gz
extract and run.
