Colors are shifted in Totem

When opening a video file with the Totem video player, all colors are shifted. Faces are blue, the sky is orange etc. When I open the video with VLC oder GNOME player, the colors are alright.

In Totem you can correct the colors via Edit › Settings › Display › Color correction (names traslated from German GUI) by moving the respective slider to the far left or right. But then the colors are shifted in VLC and GNOME player. Apparently the slider does not change the colors only for Totem but system-wide.

Does anyone know this issue and knows a solution, so that the colors are correct in all video players? Thanks.
