Custom Kernel Compiling question

What's the make command when compiling a kernel that compiles in only the modules currently running in the existing kernel version?

I ask because I had to re-install LMDE, I'm downloading the liquorix kernel and want to compile it, but without all the extraneous modules the stock kernel includes support for.
