Hello,
Have this wierd issue with the terminal not working in the gnome 3 or cinnamon desktop. It only works in mate. When you open a terminal in the others there is no curser. Can't give commands.
Any ideas????

I had the same problem, and all i had to do was to open the edit menu, go to profile preferences, a new window will be opened, go to the colors tab and choose black on white

Thanks to all. It was just the preference settings under color. odd Bug? anyway it's all good.
