Hi, I just installed Mint 14 Nadia on my Toshiba L650 laptop. I have it set as a dual boot with Windows 7 being the other OS. I have an Intel Core i5 @ 2.67GHz. After I installed I noticed there was no battery indicator. After messing around a little bit, I added the applet to the tray, but it doesn't display the battery charge. I've tried adding different battery monitors, one which was supposed to display battery output to the terminal, and a few others and none worked. I've searched through google and this site and couldn't find a solution that worked. Supposedly there is supposed to be a file in /sys/class/power_supply/BAT or (BAT0, BAT1), or /proc/acpi/BAT, and I have none. I found a site that said to add "acpi=force" to my /etc/default/grub file in the line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="". I tried that, then ran update-grub, and restarted and still no fix. From what I understand there have been issues with Toshiba laptops and their batteries/acpi. I also came up with some warnings when I ran dmesg:
[ 17.799574] ACPI Warning: 0x00000460-0x0000047f SystemIO conflicts with Region \PMIO 1 (20120320/utaddress-251)
[ 17.799582] ACPI: If an ACPI driver is available for this device, you should use it instead of the native driver
[ 17.799585] lpc_ich: Resource conflict(s) found affecting iTCO_wdt
[ 17.799588] ACPI Warning: 0x00000428-0x0000042f SystemIO conflicts with Region \PMIO 1 (20120320/utaddress-251)

Now I am quite new to Linux and am not sure what all the warnings are. If you need any more information just let me know. Thanks!
