For my thesis, I have to be able to play and convert .264 raw video files from http://www2.tkn.tu-berlin.de/research/evalvid/cif.html, but when I try it in LMDE, I get a decode_slice_header error and the conversion goes awry. I tried to play the video with ffplay or mplayer and they both show static, along with a stream of errors. The same video (highway_cif.264 from the link above) works fine in LM13 Nadia, with ffmpeg 0.8, is there any way to fix this without installing ffmpeg 0.8 and falling into dependency hell?
