How to install ATI drivers on LMDE 201403 Cinnamon

I have moved to LMDE today but I couldn't find any Mintdriver to install my ATI card drivers. What is the easiest way to install them? Please no theories just a straight answer

This is very annoying. I thought it is better than the ubuntu edition. Why do we have all this trouble installing a simple thing like drivers!!!!! I even went to the french Mint forum here http://www.linuxmint-fr.org/forum/lmde/ ... -lmde.html but in vein

Many tutorials about installing proprietary software are quickly outdated, because they only work on a particular setup configuration (Xorg, distrib, kernel, GPU model, OEM support are part of the "working" combination). So I never use any proprietary GPU drivers which are prone to kill an otherwise quiet and stable config.

This is a serious problem with LMDE then and they should not ignore it at all! Mintdriver is a must on LMDE! I will not study rocket science to use it! "a tool that does not work is a broken too" l! easy logic!! New users will not waste their time on such an issue!! I'l glad I didn't install this for my clients or else I would be in trouble now!

Edit: I have to admit that it is very fast even without drivers but I have I want to use my harware to the fullest.I paid for it

It seems like a hardware failure "The server needs to be rebuilt and reconfigured" that's what the Linux Mint blog says http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2582 I hope the Linux Mint team will fix this soon I'm still runnig LMDE though and I really love it. Man this is damn fast and snappy

it is not. based on your explanation my conclusion is that you're not skilled enough to use LMDE at this moment. FYI, new LMDE comes with sgfxi which now handle all the graphic card propietary driver.

So true... There is a warning on the download page for rough edges.

LMDE requires a deeper knowledge and experience with Linux, dpkg and APT.
Debian is a less user-friendly/desktop-ready base than Ubuntu. Expect some rough edges.

gallium is used as default. if you're not using ATI propietary driver then you'll mostly use gallium.
