Is there a easy/simple way?
I can reload 201403 but it's a bother.

Yes I know be careful with update, but I didn't think they would trash it.

Look in /var/cache/apt/[somefolder] and you should be able to find the debian file for FireFox 28. Install that.

Then you'll need to blacklist firefox in apt so it doesn't update.

Note: Never used LMDE, so I'm not sure of the exact details, but that's pretty much how you do it.

Just use the Classic-Theme-Restorer add-on for FF29 and you can just about get ti to look exactly like FF28.

I confirm. I needed about 30 minutes of fiddling, but eventually I got FF to look the same as before 29.

Got FF28 back quite nicely.
Took me a while to figure out (satisfy myself) about the lockdown procedure (blacklist) but it seems all OK.
I learned something about debian files and dpkg so it was not a total waste of time.
Since my data and operating system are on separate drives a reinstall would have worked, but
I didn't want to do all the little adjustment I like to do.

Tnx for the help.
